The Captain of Gujarat (GT), Shubman Gill and his counterpart from the Indians of Mumbai (MI), Hardik Pandya, seemed to have shared an uncomfortable moment during the launch before the IPL 2025 eliminator in Mullanpur on Friday.

While both Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya seemed that both were about to extend the handshakes, both finally backed down.

Later, Hardik Pandya also seemed to have had an animated action towards Shubman Gill when the latter was hitting Sai Sudharsan during the persecution of Gujarat Titans.

After choosing first, the Mumbai Indians recorded a total of 228/5 on the back of the upper blows of Rohit Sharma (81) and Jonny Bairstow (47). At the time of writing this report, the Gujarat Titans had 170/4 in 15.4 overs, having lost Sai Sudharsan (81) who was fired by Richard Gleeson.
