Punjab Kings (PBKS) have revealed their jersey for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Captain Shikhar Dhawan along with co-owner Preity Zinta unveiled the franchise’s kit during an event in Mohali ahead of the team’s 17th edition.
Famous Punjabi captain Gippy Grewal was also present at the franchise’s jersey reveal event. But what caught the attention of many was the jubilation of captain Shikhar Dhawan and co-owner Preity Zinta when the team unveiled their kit.
Shikhar Dhawan and Preity Zinta were seen dancing to the tunes of the Gippy Grewal singer. In the video that went viral on the internet, the duo is seen performing dance steps from the song “Nach Punjaban”. Here is the video:

For fans on social media, Punjab Kings posted a separate video in which they revealed their jersey. The video shows captain Shikhar Dhawan, who can be seen wearing the new jersey. The franchise posted the clip with the caption: “Aajao fer dhol valley! Aa lo ji pesh aa tuhade samne, Punjab de sunehre rangaan naal bani hoyi , , !”

The shirt is red with orange tones. The Punjab Kings would hope that the new uniform would bring them good luck and change their fortunes. They have not won any league titles and are even struggling to qualify for the playoffs.
The newly built stadium in Mullanpur, Mohali, will be the home ground of the Punjab Kings in IPL 2024. They will play their last two matches at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. There have been some reports that have suggested the same.
Since 2014, Punjab Kings have failed to qualify for the playoffs. But with the experience and youngsters in the team this time around, they would hope to change their luck this time and win their first league title.
Shikhar Dhawan to play crucial role for Punjab Kings in IPL
For Punjab Kings to win IPL 2024, captain Shikhar Dhawan will have to lead from the front. He will be extremely vital for the team next season. Since the last few seasons, he has been at his best in the league and has racked up a lot of runs for the teams he has played for.
Apart from his batting, Shikhar Dhawan will also have to be a good captain of the team. With the kind of resources Punjab Kings have this time around, it is fair to say that if they make full use of their potential, no one will be able to stop them from winning IPL 2024.
