Ashwin did not have any wicket in the first innings but he made sure to make up for it in the second. The off-spin bowler came up with a magical spell and won the game for his team single-handedly and made a mockery of the opposition by closing out Bangladesh’s innings quite quickly.
Ravichandran Ashwin picked up five wickets and changed the game for his team. In the morning session of Day 3, Bangladesh national cricket team batsmen Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shakib Al Hasan batted quite well and looked like they would take the game away.
However, the introduction of Ravichandran Ashwin changed the course of the game and tilted it in India’s favour. He tore through the opposing team’s batting line-up and took 6 wickets in a flash to win the game for his team in an instant and go 1-0 up in the series with one more match to play.
During his time with the team, Ravichandran Ashwin received a special recognition from India’s top batsman Virat Kohli. As the Indian team gathered to celebrate the wicket, Virat Kohli bowed to the bowler for his sensational effort with the ball in the match at his hometown.
