India national cricket team player Rishabh Pant looked like a completely different player with the bat in the ongoing fifth Test against the Australia national cricket team. The final match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between the teams will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.
Rishabh Pant, who walked to bat at number 5, has refrained from his natural game, especially after he reportedly took a beating from head coach Gautam Gambhir for his dismissals in the last game. The wicketkeeper-batsman has played defensive cricket as if he were in a shell.
Rishabh Pant, during his stay at the crease, also faced a lot of body blows in an attempt not to bowl. However, the most painful blow came during the 49th innings when the Indian National Cricket Team player was hit in the crease.
Australia national cricket team captain Pat Cummins bowled a skidded delivery of good length that curved at the angle and beat Rishabh Pant to the inside edge. The ball hit him in the area and he seemed to be in immense pain.
Rishabh Pant suffered extreme pain while kneeling on the ground. The physiotherapists rushed out and attended to the wicketkeeper-batsman of the Indian National Cricket Team.
