Glenn Maxwell of Australia is absent from the Punjab Kings (PBK) that XI plays for the IPL 2025 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chepauk on Wednesday.

Why is Glenn Maxwell playing at CSK vs Pbks Match?

The Punjab Kings pattern, Shreyas Iyer, confirmed in the raffle on Wednesday that Glenn Maxwell is lost to the Chennai Super Kings game due to a fractured finger. Maxwell appeared in the last Punjab Kings IPL match against Kolkata Knight Riders, in which he scored seven races.

In what comes as a significant blow to the kings of Punjab, Glenn Maxwell is not only discarded Wednesday’s game, but has been discarded by the rest of the season due to the injury. “Unfortunately he has a fractured finger (Maxwell). I have not decided a replacement so far,” said Shreyas Iyer.

Punjab Kings won the raffle and chose to sign against Chennai Super Kings.
