Kolkata Knight riders have had many loyal players over the years. The tastes of Jacques Kallis, Gautam Gambhir, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell have associated their names with the three times champions by staying through maximums for the franchise.
PUNJAB ALLROINDER RAMANDEEP SINGH also wants to make a name at Indian Premier League (IPL) and reach the national team by continuing to be loyal to KKR, unlike few players who are influencing the great sums of money.
Ramandeep, who played the last two seasons for KKR after a season with the Mumbai Indians, took a finely veiled excavation in his former IPL Captain Shreyas Iyer, who left the franchise before IPL 2025 and was bought by Punjab Kings for a large sum of INR 26.75 Crore.
The IPL franchise offered Ramandeep Singh 10 million rupees for an auction, but did not leave KKR and decided to stay in KKR for only 4 million rupees

Ramandeep revealed that other franchises had offered money to INR 10 million rupees after he won the IPL 2024 with KKR, but unlike other players, the 27 -year -old player decided to stay with KKR.
“The franchises had informed me that they will go to INR 10 Cr for me. But I just wanted to play for them (KKR). I feel that IPL is a platform where the opportunities are very important. Therefore, it must give loyal to a franchise if it supports it. Money does not matter so much,” Ramandeep said in the ‘Raj Shamani’ Podcast Channel channel.
Ramandeep was held by IPL holders for INR 4 million rupees before the auction in November.
“Obviously, there are some players for whom money matters. But you have also played for INR 20 Lakh for a team and if you leave a team for some money, it will show your character. He did not have the vision of earning money. He just wanted to represent India and win a World Cup,” Ramndeep added, without naming anyone.
Shreyos Iyer output saga before IPL 2025
Shreyas had left Kkr’s departure due to the ‘lack of communication’ with the franchise a week before the retention announcement. However, the KKR CEO, Venky Mysore, replied the statement saying that they had the name of Shreyas at the top of their retention list and had several meetings, but they could not agree on a desirable contract.

“At some point on the line, that agreement does not happen due to several factors: money or someone wants to prove its value or whatever. It was number one on our list. He was the captain, so he had to build everything around leadership,” said Venky Mysore on the matter in an interview with Revsportz.
KKR, who chose Ajinkya Rahane as his captain, had a Humdinger in his first game of the IPL 2025 while they lost to the Royal Challengers Bangalore for seven WICKETS.
