RCB has quite a bit of firepower in their batting line-up.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have already started their preparations for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) as they look for their first title.

During the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT), the RCB management held a camp on the sidelines of the domestic tournament which was attended by talented Indian batsman Rajat Patidar, who is also an integral part of the franchise.

Interestingly, Patidar suggested batting coach and former RCB player Dinesh Karthik to conduct a six-hit contest to pick the toughest as they have quite a bit of firepower in their batting line-up.

In a video posted by the franchise on its social network X (formerly Twitter), Patidar said:

“I think one of Tim David, Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma can hit the longest six this season. And DK (Dinesh Karthik) bhai, if you’re watching, you can keep up a six-hit challenge. Let’s see who hits the longest six.”

Liam Livingstone: RCB shelled out INR 8.75 crore to secure the England all-rounder in the IPL 2025 auction. Livingstone has earned a reputation for coming out in the middle and shifting gears with his big knocks, maintaining an aggressive strike rate of 162.46 in his IPL career.

Tim David: The tall, sturdy Australian batsman can decimate any bowling attack if he can get going. His previous stint with MI showcased his hitting power, particularly in the death overs. David’s six-hitting ability is notable, as evidenced by his 16 six-hitters in just eight innings for MI during IPL 2022. Additionally, the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, known for its shorter boundaries, serves as an ideal venue for batsmen. powerful ones like David, who can clean the strings effortlessly in all directions.

Jitesh Sharma: The young batsman has shown his impressive batting ability in the IPL, achieving good results for his former franchise. Furthermore, his addition solves the middle-order conundrum that RCB had failed in earlier and gives more depth and firepower to RCB’s batting line-up.
