4 IPL 2025 stars that you would not expect you to probably make India T20i Squad soon

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has always been the largest platform for unknown players to make a great splash and become fans’ favorites. Some of them shine so bright that they arrive at the national team and establish.

Sometimes, there are already established players who have been considered specialists for a different format of the game, but they turn expectations when demonstrating as a strong T20 player.

The IPL 2025 has seen a mixture of both. As the tournament reaches its business, we observed four players who could cut the T20I team very soon.

Shubman Gill

The Gujarat Titans pattern is among the candidates that will be considered for the test captaincy and is already online for Odi Captaincy if Rohit Sharma retires from that format, but T20 is his regular concert. The selectors had identified their need in the longest formats so far, but the Punjab batter is demonstrating how valuable it is in the shortest format.

From 12 games this season, Gill has 601 races at a 155 strike rate and has a ridiculous average of 60. In the last three seasons, Gill has returned the 483, 890 and 426 counts, which should make a strong case for his T20I selection. Your game style that is based on placement and orthodox strokes can be an asset in friendly conditions for bowling.

Ashutosh Sharma

There is no shortage of T20 finalists in the Indian Cricket, but Ashutosh Sharma is a different type that can enter the most difficult situations to change things. The railroad man has become one of the most crucial players for Delhi’s capitals in IPL 2025, very similar to how it was for Punjab Kings in 2024.

Even their numbers are almost identical to both teams: 189 extend from 11 games in 2024 to a strike rate of 167.2 and 187 runs of 11 games in 2025 at a 167.5 attack rate, it shows that it is a great adjustment for the number 5 or No. 6 in the T20I configuration of India that already has a powerful ending as Rinku Singh.

Nehal Wadhera

The excellent Punjab Kings campaign in IPL 2025 has its stars at the top, Prabhsimran Singh, Shreyas Iyer, Priyansh Arya, but the anchor of his alignment is definitely the young Nehal Wadhera who delivered while hitting in difficult situations. His 33 not out of 19 balls in Bangalore was in a mined field field while pursuing a small total.

Its 62 of 41 balls occurred in a situation in which the PBKs were limping in 4-43 while pursuing 206. More recently, their 70 of 37 balls arrived against Rajasthan Royals when Punjab was struggling to write down races after losing their superior order in a lot.

There is still time for the elegant left -hander to establish and make an automatic choice for the national side, but could receive a call before expected.

PRASIDH KRISHNA

IPL 2025 has caused Josh Hazlewood’s style transformation in Prasidh Krishna’s career. The Karnataka pacemaker has varied its rhythm wonderfully, it is able to play any length that batters find uncomfortable and, most importantly, you can play in the right areas with surgical precision.

It is not surprising that GT is at the top of the table and Prasidh is the support of the purple cap with 21 WICKETS of 12 games to an average of 17. While it seems that its place on the side of the test is safer than the T20I side, its new excellence in the shortest format will give you an advantage in front of the World Cup T20 2026.
