The playoffs will take place from May 29 to June 3.

The Indian Premier League 2025 stopped halfway due to tensions between India and Pakistan. Now that both countries have agreed to fire, the IPL will begin again on May 17 with the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The playoffs will take place from May 29 to June 3.

The new calendar could be difficult for teams such as the Indians of Mumbai, RCB, Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, since some important players abroad may not return due to international matches.

The final of the IPL 2025, originally planned for May 25, will now occur during the ODI series between England and the Western Indies (from May 29 to June 3). The Western Indies and England have announced their Odi squads, and some of their players in the IPL can miss the playoffs. South Africa and Australia players are not available either, since they are ready to play in the World Testing Championship final on June 11.

The ones possibly available include Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, Josh Inglis, Marco Jansen, Romario Shepherd, Jacob Bethell, Corbin Bosch, Will Jacks and Sherfane Rutherford.

Let’s take a look at the six players who could enter as replacements for IPL 2025 players with concerns of players abroad.

Mustafizur Rahman

Mustafizur Rahman’s experience in the IPL makes it a good option as a replacement player. The fast -arm bowling player has played for five different teams in the league over the years.

In the last season of IPL, he took 14 WICKETS in nine games for Chennai Super Kings. He also did well in the recent League of the Bangladesh Premier, collecting 13 WICKETS with an economy rate of 7.35.
