We will have to take a decision which is best for CSK – MS Dhoni
During an event, MS Dhoni was asked whether or not he would play for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025. Responding to this, the wicketkeeper-batsman claimed that he would take the decision based on the retention rules. He stated that once the rules are announced, he will decide what will be best for the team. He explained:
“There’s still plenty of time for the franchises and management to decide on retention rules and everything else. So when everything is decided, we’ll make a decision. So no, the ball is not in our court.”
“When the rules are decided, then we can take a decision… In the end, we will have to take a decision which is best for CSK, and that is the ultimate goal.”
Indian Premier League franchise owners met with officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday (July 30) to discuss retentions and RTM rules. The governing body will soon take a final decision after consultations and the official statement will be made soon.
