It was only last week when Bangladesh Wicktkeeper-Batter Mushfiqur Rahim had retired from Odi.

Bangladesh’s entire veteran, Mahmudullah announced his retirement from the International Cricket. The 39 -year -old retires after having played 50 tests, 239 Odi and 141 T20is for Bangladesh.

Mahmudullah’s international career

In 239 Odi, Mahmudullah scored 5689 races at an average of 36.46. This includes four centuries and 32 fifty. It is the fourth highest runner for Bangladesh in the 50 OVER format, behind Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan.

In general, the Cricket player born in Mymensingh has scored 11,047 races in the three formats and has taken 166 WICKETS. The last time he played for the Tigers during the game of the 2025 Champions Trophy Group against New Zealand on February 25 in Rawalpindi. He scored only four races in that game.

Mahmudullah shared an emotional after its Facebook page to announce its decision.

“All praises only for the Almighty Allah. I have decided to retire from the International Cricket. I would like to thank all my teammates, coaches and especially my fans who have always supported me. Thank you very much to my parents, my laws, especially my father -in -law and most importantly, my brother Emdad Ullah, who has been constantly there since my childhood as my coach and mentor.

Mahmudullah had asked the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) before it did not consider it for a central contract after February 2025, since he said he was contemplating his international career.

Last week, Bangladesh Wicktkeeper-Batter Mushfiqur Rahim had announced his Odi retirement after having played 274 games in the format.
