This will increase India’s headache.
During the ongoing first Test of IND vs NZ, India faced a big blow on Day 2 (October 17) of the game after Rishabh Pant left the field due to a knee knock.
India were already struggling after posting their lowest total at home (46 all out) and then Rishabh’s injury caused another headache for the hosts.
Now, on Day 3 (October 18), India suffered another setback after yet another batting star got injured.
In New Zealand’s 55th over, Daryl Mitchell intercepted a Mohammed Siraj delivery towards the gully region.
Batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was stationed at the ravine managed to catch him hard, but he immediately started shaking his hand and squeezing his fingers.
He was seen leaving the field and was replaced by Axar Patel, while Sarfaraz Khan took his place on the cordon.
However, unlike Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal later returned to the field to open the batting for India’s second innings and is currently looking good.
New Zealand takes a big lead with 356 runs
Talking about the match, after India put up a horror batting show, the visiting Kiwis capitalized and posted a towering score of 402.
