After trolling and reminding RCB fans about CSK’s trophy tally in IPL, Ambati Rayudu has now turned up the heat with his latest tweet directed at Virat Kohli.
Ambati Rayudu, who retired from the IPL circuit last year after helping Chennai win their fifth league title, has been a regular critic of the RCB franchise. He has often criticized the Bengaluru team for their tactics and their inability to build a good team. More recently, Rayudu had targeted the franchise for his excessive celebration after beating CSK in their last league match of IPL 2024.
Yesterday, Ambati Rayudu took to Instagram and uploaded a video clip of CSK players celebrating after their success in IPL 2023. He wrote a caption under the video, which fans are considering as a direct dig at Royal Challengers Bengaluru. And with the latest tweet from him, Rayudu seems to have cryptically taken aim at none other than former RCB captain Virat Kohli.
How did Ambati Rayudu target Virat Kohli?
The six-time IPL winner took to X (formerly Twitter) today to primarily address Bengaluru fans who expressed their disappointment on social media. Ambati Rayudu began by extending his support to the passionate RCB fans who have selflessly supported the franchise over the years.
“My heart truly goes out to all the RCB fans who have passionately supported the team over the years.” – wrote Rayudu in X.
Rayudu feels that if it were not for the hunger of certain RCB players to achieve individual milestones, then the franchise would have won multiple league titles. “If only the management and leaders had the team’s interests above individual milestones… rcb would have won multiple titles.” – Rayudu added.
This particular statement seems to be a direct hit at Virat Kohli, who created many batting records while playing for RCB but never won the title.
Ambati Rayudu then highlighted the number of players RCB has released over the years, something that has also kept them away from winning the IPL. Lastly, Rayudu asked all Bengaluru fans to force their team management to bring in those players who can put the team’s interests before their personal interests.
“Just remember how many fantastic players have been let go. Force your management to bring in players who put the team’s interests first. A great new chapter can begin from the mega auction.” – Ambati Rayudu concluded.
