Sri Lankan heavy hitter Kumar Sangakkara has shared his views on the one-sided battle between the Australian opener David Warner and England closer Stuart Broad in Test cricket. He said that Warner being fired by Broad has now become “almost inevitable”.
David Warner has been cleared by Stuart Broad 17 times in the game’s purest format. The veteran England pacer dismissed him in both innings of the ongoing third Test at Headingley in Leeds to extend his dominance.

Warner has to try something different against Broad – Kumar Sangakkara
Meanwhile, Sangakkara has said that Warner has to try something different against the English pacemaker. He feels the Aussie starter needs to be confident and play aggressive in order to put the pressure on Broad again.
“It’s almost inevitable now. Every time he (Warner) takes on Broad, you feel like you’re waiting for a knick or an LBW or a bowling. Warner has to try something different against Broad. He has to put pressure on Broad and try to be aggressive because the defense hasn’t worked so he plays one way and don’t get confused,” said Kumar Sangakkara while speaking on Sky Sports Cricket’s Ashes Podcast.

Former England National Cricket Team captain Nasser Hussain was also present during the discussion. He said Warner’s ground is huge for England as the batsman can provide a great start for his team.
“Warner was a great wicket because he has the ability to get Australia off to a good start. That 20-odd lead suddenly becomes 60-70 with no loss and you think the game is slipping away from you. Warner had the ability to silence the crowd and that’s why he was a great wicket,” said Nasser Hussain.
At Stumps on the 2nd, the Australia national cricket team were 116/4. They had a decent lead of 142 runs with Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh unbeaten.
