England batsman Joe Root passed big batsman Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli on the list for most career runs before being stumpedly dismissed in a Test. The batsman struck hit after hit from him in the second innings of the ongoing 2023 first Ashes Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Joe Root, who hit a magnificent century in the first innings, continued his good form and bowled another decent shot in the second innings. This time he looked more aggressive and played some outrageous shots, mocking the Australian bowlers.
