Ravichandran Ashwin left New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips absolutely baffled after knocking down his stumps with an unplayable carrom ball on Day 2 of the ongoing IND vs NZ third Test.
The incident occurred on the penultimate ball of the 33rd over of New Zealand’s second innings. It was a brave comeback from the veteran Indian spinner who had taken two sixes earlier in the over.
Ashwin’s delivery completely outplayed the New Zealand batsman as he missed the line of the ball and it fell and hit the woodwork. Ashwin could be seen celebrating aggressively by jumping and throwing punches in the air after making the breakthrough.

Phillips returned to the dressing room after scoring a brisk 26 runs off 14 balls, including one four and three sixes. His dismissal left New Zealand in a difficult situation, standing at 103 runs with six wickets down.
India enjoys advantage
Talking about the match, the Indian team has shown a strong intention to push hard to win and avoid a whitewash after losing the series and losing 2-0.
At the time of writing, New Zealand’s second innings score read 170 for 8 in 42 overs with Ajaz Patel and Matt Henry currently at the crease.
The Kiwis lead by 142 runs and India will be keen to get the last two remaining wickets and conclude New Zealand’s innings as quickly as possible.
