David Warner opens up about his international career
David Warner told Fox Cricket: “Over the years I haven’t been liked by everyone, but for me, I’ve played as hard as I can and tried to do the best I can for the team. If I had my time again and I knew it, I would probably show a little more patience with myself and bite my tongue a little more.”
“I think a lot of people don’t get to see, know or know the person. From the moment I started, I was that happy little boy out there. That was my role in the team… to go out and get under the skin of the batsman and the opposition and yes, it gave me a little boost because they came at me when I batted.”
“But they saw it in the early days, and I think the first impression is that you don’t get a second chance for that and you know, I’ve tried to rebuild that trust and faith.”
