In a surprising turn of events, Afghan player Usman Ghani took an indefinite break from cricket. He touted corrupt leadership on the Cricket Board as a reason he stepped back and took a sabbatical.

Usman Ghan last represented Afghanistan in the T20I series against Pakistan earlier this year. But he did not have a good start. After that, he has not been a part of the squad and also missed the squad for the upcoming white ball series against Bangladesh.
