Former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali criticized Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto after the team’s whitewash defeat in India. Basit Ali said Najmul Hossain Shanto might have mistakenly thought that his team would play Pakistan again and highlighted his 2-0 prediction before the series.

Bangladesh suffered a seven-wicket defeat against India at Kanpur’s Green Park on Tuesday, October 1. The Rohit Sharma-led team secured a 2-0 victory over the visitors. The hosts were victorious in the second Test despite both days of play being suspended without a ball being bowled.
