The BCCI cash award will go to the players, the training and support staff and the members of the Selection Committee
The BCCI on Thursday announced a cash prize of INR 58 million rupees for the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma to reward his Champions Trophy 2025 victory earlier this month.
India assured her third Champions Trophy title by beating New Zealand in the final for four Wickts in the Dubai International Stadium. It was also the third consecutive victory of the ICC trophy of India after the male team won the 2024 T20 World Cup in Western Indies and the women’s team of children under 19 won the T20 World Cup of 2025 under 19 women in Malaysia.
“This financial recognition honors players, training and support staff and members of the Men’s Selection Committee,” said an official BCCI statement.
The president of BCCI, Roger Binny, praised the progress made by Indian Cricket in recent months when he announced the reward in cash.
