BCCI invites bids for title sponsor rights for IPL 2024-28 cycle

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (December 12) launched the bidding for title sponsor rights for the upcoming editions of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Sponsor rights will be for the 2024-2028 seasons.

The ‘Invitation to Tender’ (“ITT”) document will be available upon receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000. Apart from this, Goods and Services Tax will be applied. BCCI also confirmed that the invitation to bid will be available for purchase until January 8, 2024.

BCCI also provided a mail id on [email protected] For those interested. They will have to email the details of the payment made for the ITT purchase. The governing body also stated that the parties should share the document only after receiving confirmation of payment of the ITT fee, which will be non-refundable.

BCCI also stated that the highest bid submitted by the parties will be subject to Tata Sons Private Limited exercising its ‘Right to Match’ such bid (“RTM”). The governing body will also have the right to cancel or modify the tender process at any stage and in any manner without stating any reason.

BCCI releases list of players who have registered for IPL 2024 auction

BCCI recently announced the list of players who have registered for the auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In total, 333 cricketers have registered for the auction. In the batch, 214 players are from India, while 119 are foreigners and 2 players are from partner countries. There are 116 international players and 215 non-international players. The auction for the 2024 edition of the league will take place in Dubai on December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena. All franchises have revealed their list of retained and released players.
