Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) stars starred in their team’s final Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match by performing exceptionally well with the willow. They batted brilliantly and formed a great partnership to help their team put a big total on the board in the first innings.

While playing for Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube scored big runs against Services in Hyderabad. Suryakumar compiled 70 runs off 46 deliveries, including seven boundaries and four maximums, at a strike rate of 152.17.

Meanwhile, Shivam amassed 71 runs in 36 balls, comprising two boundaries and seven maximums, at a strike rate of 191.89. The duo put together a crucial stand of 130 runs in 66 balls for the fourth wicket, and the partnership came at a brisk pace to help Mumbai thrive on a good batting platform.

Mumbai post 192/4 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first

After winning the toss, Services opted to play first and got off to a good start with the ball. They dismissed Prithvi Shaw in just the third delivery of the over, dismissing him with a 3-ball duck in the first set.

Later, Services also dismissed Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane before they could start the willow. Both had decent starts and should turn them into a big score, but the Services players did well to shorten their innings at just the right time.

However, Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube came to the rescue and provided stability to the innings while also playing important shots. The two were brilliant in the middle and ensured to take Mumbai to a grand total of 192/4.

While Suryakumar was dismissed in the final, Dube remained undefeated till the end and took his team all the way. Mumbai have a solid bowling attack and would like a chance to defend the total.
