The 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) Final between the 4-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) was set to be played at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday May 28.

However, due to intermittent rain in Ahmedabad, the 2023 IPL final was forced to move to the reserve day. In particular, due to heavy rain in the city, the drawing did not take place, and even artists such as King and Divine were unable to perform.

Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya react as IPL 2023 final moves towards booking day
Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Hardik Pandya took to Twitter to state that the match being postponed was unfortunate, but he expected to see a full house on Monday at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

“Unfortunately, the match could not take place today, but we expect a full house tomorrow. See you later!” Hardik Pandya tweeted.
Opening star batsman Shubman Gill thanked the fans for being at the venue despite the heavy rain and urged fans to keep their spirits up.
“Many thanks to our fans for their unwavering support despite the rain. Keep your physical tickets safe, as we’ll see you tomorrow i.e. May 29th. Keep your spirits up so we can do our best too! @gujarat_titans #AavaDe @IPL,” Shubman Gill tweeted.

In an official statement issued by the BCCI, it was indicated that fans can enter the stadium using the same physical ticket on Monday.
“Fans who had their tickets for the TATA IPL Final on May 28 will now be able to enter the stadium with their existing physical tickets on May 29.
“BCCI would like to thank the fans in attendance tonight for their patience and support. We request you to come out in large numbers to support your favorite IPL teams in the grand final of TATA IPL 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad,” an IPL statement read.
