Tristan Stubbs, on Tuesday (May 14), delivered a good knock to propel Delhi Capitals to a big score in the ongoing do-or-die clash against Lucknow Super Giants at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The right-handed batsman scored an unbeaten 57 runs to take DC to a grand total of 208 for 4 in 20 overs. His knock came off just 25 balls and he was studded with three fours and four sixes. At one point, Tristan Stubbs was hitting 7 runs off 9 balls, but he changed gears at the right time.
He broke the shackles in the 16th over by hitting Arshad Khan for two fours and a six. In the 18th over, the South African star hit Naveen-ul-Haq for two sixes and a four to complete his fifty in just 22 balls. However, he could not play the important shots in the final and did not shy away from expressing his frustration over the same.
Tristan Stubbs faced two deliveries in the final over but could not hit any of them for either six or four. And when he failed to send the ball beyond the boundary on the last delivery of the innings, he slammed his bat in anger.

Apart from Tristan Stubbs, Abishek Porel also played a crucial role for DC. The left-handed batsman scored 58 runs off 33 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes.
“It was pretty difficult when I came in. I couldn’t get a certain intensity, but once I started, it started flowing. I always feel like I can give myself a little time and then catch up. You never know. I’m in this field, but it’s slowing down a bit. little and hopefully it’s enough. Just playing in front of so many people is incredible,” Stubbs said.
