Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli is currently in Sri Lanka, preparing for the upcoming three-match ODI series. The much-awaited series is scheduled to be played from August 2 and all the matches will be held in Colombo.
A couple of days before the first match, a video of an individual calling Virat Kohli “Chokli” went viral on social media. In the video, the former Indian captain was busy practicing with shadows when someone called him “Chokli.” Virat Kohli immediately turned around and his reaction made it very clear that he was not at all happy with the use of the term. He was also heard saying, “Not here.”
For those who don’t know, ‘Chokli’ is a derogatory term that trolls often use to attack the stalwart batsman. The term is a portmanteau of Kohli and Choker and trolls use it to attack the right-handed batsman when he fails to score much, especially in important matches.
The video went viral on social media in no time, leaving fans absolutely stunned. However, another video started doing the rounds and it shows that the previous video was edited. In the latest clip, the fan can be heard asking Kohli for an autograph and the veteran batsman responded by saying “not here.”
Here are both clips:

Virat Kohli’s long-awaited return:
Virat Kohli is currently gearing up to make his long-awaited return to ODI cricket. The batting star has not played an ODI since the World Cup final in November last year. He was not part of the ODI series against South Africa in December last year and India have not played any ODI since then.
Both Kohli and Team India will be looking to put up a strong performance in the upcoming series. Last month, Kohli announced his retirement from T20Is after the World Cup win and he will be looking to get off to a flying start in the 50-overs format. Kohli has an impressive record against Sri Lanka in the 50-overs format. In 25 games so far, he has scored 2595 runs against the Islanders with the help of 10 centuries.
