Emerging India Pacer enters top 10 of ICC T20I rankings for bowlers

His previous best ranking was number 13, but he is now the only Indian bowler in the top ten in the ICC rankings for men’s T20I bowlers.

An Indian pacer has entered the top ten of the ICC rankings for men’s T20I bowlers for the first time in his career. He has been in sensational form in the shortest format and has rightly moved up the table.

Arshdeep Singh, the Indian team’s left-arm speedster, has reached a career-high ranking after his excellent performance in the first T20I against Bangladesh. He has seen a rise of eight places, rising to ninth position with a rating of 642, his personal best in the format.

His previous best ranking was number 13, but he is now the only Indian bowler in the top ten in the ICC rankings for men’s T20I bowlers. Arshdeep bowled brilliantly in the previous game, snaring three wickets for 14 runs in 3.5 overs in a match-winning spell.

His excellent performance in the match earned him the Man of the Match award as Arshdeep was the best bowler for both sides in this match. Ravi Bishnoi, who sat out the first T20I against Bangladesh in a shock move, has fallen one place lower and is ranked 12th with a rating of 629, the second-best for an Indian bowler in T20Is.

Hardik Pandya rises to third spot in ICC rankings for T20I all-rounder

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, another top performer in the first game, has seen an increase in his ranking and is now ranked third with a rating of 216. He has moved up four places from the seventh position earlier.

He is the only Indian all-rounder in the top ten, followed by Axar Patel at 11th with a score of 145. Axar is not part of the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh after being rested to manage his workload.

Hardik shone with both bat and ball in the first game. He took a solitary wicket and conceded just 26 runs in the first innings before scoring a quick 39 off 16 balls, including five boundaries and two maximums.

Both Pandya and Arshdeep will have opportunities to rise further up the rankings. The second T20I between India and Bangladesh will begin today in Delhi.
