Pakistan captain Babar Azam spoke about the loss in the second T20I. He admitted it was a good bowling performance from him, but they didn’t step up with the bat. He also praised Fakhar Zaman for his heroics and said that they are giving confidence to the players ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. Speaking after the match, he stated:

“It was an even score, we shot well. Small association and then there was no great association. We are flexible, everyone knows their role. We have decided the role of each player. If you are not in good shape, we are flexible.

“The way Fakhar dominated. If Fakhar and I had batted for three more overs, things could have been different. (About Imad) He has experience, knows how to bowl at different stages and has improved a lot with the bat. Shadab is one of the best players and he will be back. We announced the team (for the World Cup), we are giving confidence.”
