England will play Scotland in the first match of the 2024 T20 World Cup campaign on Tuesday, June 4. The match starts at 8 pm IST, which is 10.30 am local time. This is the first T20I match between the two sides.
England is managed by Jos Buttler. He recently led his team to a 2-0 series victory against Pakistan. The English completely dominated the Pakistani team in the two matches that were played. They are placed alongside Australia, Oman and Namibia in Group B. England and Australia are expected to progress to the next round. However, the other teams cannot be taken lightly.
Heading into this World Cup, they are the defending champions who won the T20 World Cup last year. The team looks complete, with enough depth in batting and bowling. Buttler and Phil Salt’s batting form is one of the biggest strengths of England’s success.

England defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in a 158-run chase in their previous game. It is very possible that the team will keep the same eleven against Scotland. They also have enough variety in their bowling attack to challenge the Scots. England was eliminated in the league stage of the World Cup for over-50s. They will look for a better performance in the World T20.
