Family clash! Yuvraj Singh reacts strongly to Yograj’s Arjun Tendulkar’s comments

Yograj Singh had supervised the training sessions that Arjun participated in at his cricket academy. He suggested that critics should not judge Arjun Tendulkar solely on his bowling.

Yuvraj Singh believes Arjun Tendulkar still needs to improve his batting technique. He stated that Arjun Tendulkar is a bowling all-rounder, in contrast to Yograj Singh’s assessment of his batting.

“When Arjun started playing cricket, he was a better bowler. He is still learning as a batsman. If he keeps working on it, he will definitely improve. I feel at one point even he will say, ‘I am not sure whether I am strong with my bowling or my batting’. But I still feel that he is a bowler who knows how to bat. I was a batsman who knows how to bowl. If I keep working with him, his batting will definitely improve,” he said.

Arjun had an uneventful season with the Mumbai Indians, where Sachin Tendulkar serves as the team’s mentor. He has played five games in the Indian Premier League so far. The left-arm pacer picked up three wickets at an economy rate of 9.37.

During the 2025-26 domestic season, Arjun scored 58 runs and got a wicket in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In his last appearance in the Ranji Trophy, he scored 65 runs in four innings for Goa and took four wickets.

Lucknow Super Giants named Mohammad Shami, Mohsin Khan and Prince Yadav as their starting fast bowlers in their first match of IPL 2026. They also included Avesh Khan among their impact players. Arjun is unlikely to get a chance in the starting lineup unless there are injury concerns.
