‘Freedom is crucial’: Mohammed Siraj explains how Champions Trophy Snub helped him illuminate IPL 2025

Mohammed Siraj has accredited the work he has done during the free time he received after being rejected for the 2025 Champions Trophy for his effective performances in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

The Gujarat Titans Pacer is the third of the WICKETS in the current tournament with 10 seasons of six games in an economy of 8.5. He has performed two performances by Man of the Match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Indians of Mumbai, since GT put his defeat in the first game against Punjab Kings to record four victories in a row.

Siraj has been fresh and hungry with his performances in the tournament, since his tight lines made sure that he obtained the main WICKETS of the upper blows such as Phil Salt, Travis Head, Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Sharma.

Mohammed Siraj’s IPL 2025 Revival in Gujarat Titans

In an interview with Cricbuzz, Siraj said how he had worked in his physical condition and returned to the things that had made him successful.

“I have not made too many changes in my bowling alley. My body feels fresh, obviously because I have been playing bowling after a break. Previously, when I was playing continuously, I did not always realize what I was doing badly. But with the recent rest of the International Cricket, I had the opportunity to restart,” said Siraj.

“I saw videos of my bowling and I saw some mistakes. I also realized that I had moved away from the things that brought me success in the past. I was not playing certain types of deliveries that used to work for me. So I decided to concentrate on my strengths again,” added the pacemaker.

When asked about neglecting Siraj for the Champions Trophy, Captain Rohit Sharma had said that it was a decision based on his statistics with the old ball. That had a circular effect since Rohit was fired for an impressive sewing delivery of Siraj that crashed into his door from the fourth bump line.

“A couple of deliveries before getting it out, I realized that the ball does not take stock.

Positive and negative Champions Trophy 2025 Spinub

Despite looking at the positive aspects of obtaining a break from the International Cricket without stopping, Siraj expressed its disappointment for missing the Champions Trophy and lifting the trophy.

“For a professional, a CPI event is incredibly important. It is the dream of all players to win one. I have always dreamed of playing in the Champions Trophy and doing it well for my country, but perhaps it was not written in my destination,” Siraj said.

Gujarat’s Titans will face Delhi Capitals in their next clash at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
