While the entire Indian team had training almost at full capacity, he remained absent.
After the defeat in Adelaide, the Indian team now faces another new problem with India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah remaining absent from today’s (December 10) practice session. India will next face the Australians at The Gabba and will be tasked with turning around their fortunes after a heavy 10-wicket defeat in the pink-ball Test.
Although the Indian team had the training session almost at full capacity, vice-captain and bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah could not be seen. It can only be anticipated that the visitors’ expert group will understandably be aware of their workload in a long series of five tests.
Furthermore, Bumrah had also fallen once while bowling in Adelaide, pinning his adductor muscles, making managing his workload even more crucial. However, bowling coach Morne Morkel later clarified that it was just a cramp.

Indian batsmen are sweating in the nets after lackluster performances in the first two Tests.
India’s batting line-up has struggled in three of its four innings in the series, failing to surpass 200 runs. To address these issues, players put extra effort into the nets at Adelaide Oval, working to strengthen their game and find chinks in their armor.
India’s innings scores so far are 150, 487/6 (at Perth), 180 and 175 (at Adelaide). Indian batsmen have registered two centuries, with Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring 161 and Virat Kohli remaining unbeaten on 100 in Perth. While KL Rahul has shown promise as an opener, his inability to convert starts into big scores remains a concern, with his highest being 77.
All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has stood out for his performances down the order, contributing vital runs with an aggressive approach. His tally of 163 runs is the third-highest in the series, after Jaiswal’s 185 and chart-topping Head’s 240.
