Afghanistan’s tour to Zimbabwe will begin with a three-match T20I series. The first match of the series will be played on December 9, followed by the second match on the 11th. The last match of the series will be played on December 12 and all matches will be played at the Harare Sports Club.
ODI series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe to start on December 15
After that, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will face each other in the three-match ODI series. The first match of the series will begin on December 15, followed by the second and third matches to be played on December 17 and 19. All matches will be played at the same venue in Harare.
The tour to Zimbabwe will conclude with the two-match Test series. The first match will be played from December 26 to 30 and the second from January 2 to 6. Both matches in the series will be played at the same venue in Bulawayo.
The Afghans will arrive in Zimbabwe on December 6. The team will hold two practice sessions before the first T20I match on December 9. They would be very confident going into the series, especially with the kind of cricket they have been playing of late.
This year has been quite productive for us both domestically and internationally and we have made good achievements: Afghanistan Cricket Board President Mirwais Ashraf.
Speaking about the upcoming tour, Cricket Board Chairman Mirwais Ashraf said that it has been a good year for them both domestically and internationally. He expressed confidence in his team winning the series and said:
“This year has been quite productive for us both nationally and internationally, and we have had good achievements. “We are committed to try hard and add more bilateral cricket to our calendar next year and bring more glory to our nation.”
