His performance also helped his team win its first CPL title.

A Gujarat Titans star once again demonstrated his tremendous talent, this time in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2024).

The GT star, who plied his trade for recent CPL winners the Saint Lucia Kings, bagged a magnificent haul of 22 scalps for the season.

In the process, Afghanistan’s Noor Ahmad is now the second highest wicket-taker in a single season in the CPL, alongside Fawad Ahmed (Trinbago Knight Riders, 2018) and Hayden Walsh (Barbados Tridents, 2019).

Veteran West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, is first on the list with 28 wickets to his name during the 2015 CPL season.

Noor Ahmad also put in an emphatic display in the CPL 2024 summit clash last night, taking three wickets to help the Saint Lucia Kings win their first CPL title after edging out the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

After opting to pitch first, the Saint Lucia players impressed on the power play, allowing just 27 runs.

In the middle, Roston Chase and Noor Ahmed took control, leaving Guyana struggling at 99-7 in the 18th over.

However, a late attack by Dwaine Pretorius and Romario Shepherd took the total to 138 at the end of the innings.

In response, Saint Lucia began their chase strongly, scoring 40 runs in the powerplay. By the 15th over, they needed 66 runs off 30 balls with the score 73-4.

Aaron Jones and Roston Chase changed the momentum by scoring 27 runs in the 16th over off Moeen Ali, followed by 20 runs in the next over from Dwaine Pretorius. The pair remained undefeated, securing the chase and ending the campaign on a high note.
