Afghanistan and Gujarat Titans (GT) spinner Noor Ahmad has been banned from the International T20 League (ILT20) for 12 months after he was found guilty of breach of contract. The young player did not sign a contract extension with his franchise Sharjah Warriors.
Noor Ahmad represented the Sharjah Warriors in one ILT20 season during his tenure (January-February 2023) and was decent on the ball. The youngster was offered retention on the same terms and conditions in accordance with the terms of the Player Agreement prior to Season 2. However, the player refused, leading to a breach of the Player Agreement with the franchise.
