Hardik Pandya criticized by RP Singh, challenged to face opposition stronger than Bangladesh

Former Indian National Cricket Team pacer RP Singh was not impressed with people praising Hardik Pandya’s performance in the first T20I against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. He said judging the players’ performance against Bangladesh is not correct as they are not at the highest level.

Indian National Cricket Team all-rounder Hardik Pandya produced the match-winning effort in the first T20I against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The all-rounder shone for his team with bat and ball and helped them complete a dominant victory.

Hardik Pandya was the first to set the stage on fire with the ball as he troubled the batsmen of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team with his impeccable lines and lengths. He then picked a wicket and returned with figures of 1/26 in the four overs he bowled, helping his team bowl out their opponents for a total of less than 130 runs.

Pandya’s best came with the bat as he wreaked havoc on the opponents. The all-rounder batted like he was in the nets while bowling balls across the park and made sure to help his team win the game within 12 overs and take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Pandya finished the innings of unbeaten 39 runs off just 16 balls. He batted at a strike rate of around 245 and hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in the innings. He made fun of his rival and finished with style for his team.

Hardik did well, he is capable of doing things like that – RP Singh

For his impressive innings, Pandya was applauded by many, but RP Singh was not impressed. The former Indian national cricket team pacer said that although the all-rounder did well, it was not good to overstate the performance against such a team. Speaking to Jio Cinema, he explained:

“Bangladesh team ko leke kisi ka judge true form karna, mujhe lagta hai itna sahi soch nahi hai. (I think using a performance against Bangladesh to judge a player’s form is not correct.) The way they are playing “It’s not at the highest level right now,”

“Hardik did well, he is capable of doing these kinds of things. But, in my opinion, using performance against this team as a criterion is not correct. Maybe doing it against a better team or in better competition.”

Bangladesh did not create a situation where they had to make a match or finish it – RP Singh on Hardik Pandya

RP Singh further mentioned that Hardik Pandya had no pressure because India had already taken a step beyond the finish line. He stressed that Bangladesh did not create a situation where the all-rounder had to play a match or finish it. He added:

“Kahi baar hota hai na ki haa ab toh match jeetna hi hai, kam run banane hai toh aap free hote ho (There are times when you feel free because you know the team is close to victory and there are not too many runs left) write down). “Bangladesh did not create a situation where they had to make a match or finish it.”

What is good to see is that Hardik Pandya is bowling four overs – RP Singh

Furthermore, RP Singh pointed out that Hardik Pandya bowling 4 overs is an advantage for the Indian team as he has reached full fitness. But he concluded that fans should not get excited about his performance against Bangladesh. He elaborated:

“What is good to see is that Hardik Pandya is bowling four overs. There was always a question whether he can bowl his full quota or not but he is doing well now. His batting was always good, where he has improved is in his performance in bowling and in his fitness only the Bangladesh team ko dekh ke mujhe nahi lagta hume is excited about hone chahiye. There are still many real tests ahead,” he concluded.
