Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra spoke about how Team India bowler Jasprit Bumrah can increase his speed. Chopra also praised the fast bowler, saying that he likes the pacer’s style and his action is unique.

Jasprit Bumrah is arguably one of the best pacers out there in world cricket. He has performed incredibly well for the team in all three formats of the game, becoming the backbone of the Indian cricket team in such a short time.

One of the most admirable things about Jasprit Bumrah is his unique action. Despite having a short career and awkward bowling action, he has had incredible success. He even keeps pace with him in the 140s, which is something to be commended.

Neeraj Chopra, however, suggested something to Jasprit Bumrah with which he could increase his pace. The javelin thrower said that the fast thrower should lengthen his stroke to generate more pace. Speaking to Indian Express, he explained:

“I like Jasprit Bumrah, I find his action unique. I feel like I should lengthen his race to add more pace. As a javelin thrower, we often discuss how players can increase their pace by starting their stroke from a little further back. I like Bumrah’s style.”

This was the first time I saw a complete match: Neeraj Chopra on the World Cup final

Neeraj Chopra was present in the stands during the final of the ICC World Cup 2023. India suffered a disappointing defeat against Australia in the final by 6 wickets.

Neeraj Chopra said the World Cup final was the first time he had watched a full cricket match. He talked about how difficult it was to hit during the day. He also praised India for having put together an amazing tournament. He added:

“This was the first time I saw a game in its entirety. By the time he was on the fly, India had already lost three wickets. Virat (Kohli) bhai and KL Rahul were batting when I arrived. There are some technical things I don’t understand.

“Batting during the day was not very easy. I think at night batting became easy. But our boys tried. Sometimes it’s just not our day. But, frankly, everyone had a great tournament.”

Team India will next be seen in action when they travel to South Africa for the T20I, ODI and Test series.
