India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a magnificent hundred during the first Test in Perth between Australia and India. He scored 161 off 297 balls in the second innings of the match and helped India score a mammoth goal against Australia.
Jaiswal hit a hooked six over the wicketkeeper’s head to reach the three-figure mark. However, he was not sure whether the ball had gone for four or six and had to wait for the umpire’s signal.
As soon as it was confirmed to be a six, Yashasvi Jaiswal took off her helmet and celebrated with her arms raised. He blew flying kisses to his followers and decided to enjoy the moment.

Yashasvi Jaiswal talks about the moment she reached a hundred
While speaking to Australian TV presenter Mark Howard, Yashasvi Jaiswal spoke about the time she reached a hundred with a six over the wicketkeeper’s head. Jaiswal revealed that he wanted to do several celebrations after turning his century, but he was left confused.
“Yes, it was an (unusual) way of mentioning the hundred. In my mind, I thought, I’ll do this or that, and suddenly something happened and I thought, oh my God, what should I do?” do,” Jaiswal said according to PTI.
In the end, Jaiswal decided to stay in the moment and enjoy the applause. He claims to have enjoyed the moment and hopes to remember it for a long time.
“So I thought, okay, I’ll just celebrate and enjoy this moment. I was blessed, I was grateful, I enjoyed it, this feeling will stay with me for a long time. I give kisses to all my loved ones, all my fans who have supported me I just wanted give them my love with kisses,” he added.
Yashasvi Jaiswal opens up about her emotional backstory
Yashasvi Jaiswal further shared her views on her difficult backstory and stated that it gives her the confidence to fight and get out of any situation. He likes to be in battles and is hungry to win.
“It’s something (his backstory) that always gives me confidence that I can get out of any situation. I always fight, I always look to fight, I want to be in the battle, I want to enjoy the battle and I want to win.” the battle,” Jaiswal revealed.
“So this is what it gives me and I’m really blessed to have this life, which can give me a lot of confidence, learnings about myself, how I can believe in myself and how I can deal with different emotions, different situations in my life,” he added.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Test run
Yashasvi Jaiswal has had an excellent start to his Test career. The century in the Perth Test is his fourth in 15 Tests. The left-handed opener has scored 1568 runs at a brilliant average of 58.07. So far he has hit 4 hundreds and 8 fifties.
Jaiswal was dismissed for a duck in the first innings in Perth but came back strongly to score a brilliant hundred in the second innings. India will be hoping for a big score in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy Tests.
