Travis Head’s wife Jessica reacts to online abuse she received after Australia won the ICC World Cup 2023. She said she reads all the comments but ignores them because she has a filter that removes negative comments.

After Australia defeated India in the 2023 ICC World Cup final, Australian players were subjected to online abuse by Indian fans. They sent unacceptable messages to the players and their families.

Travis Head, who scored a brutal century in the final against India, was the most attacked batsman. Fans criticized him for defeating India. Things got even worse when fans threatened his wife and one-year-old daughter.

Travis Head’s wife spoke out about her daughter and said the people who abused her don’t know how welcoming she is. Speaking about the abuse, she stated in an interview with Sportstar:

“I just ignore it. I read all comments, but I have a filter that immediately blocks negative comments. So I don’t even see them. Milla has the most beautiful personality. She is so outgoing, so welcoming and so loving.

“Trolls are people who have not been lucky enough to meet her, because if they had met her they would not be able to say bad things about her. She would have welcomed them with open arms and in return, your heart would melt from the kindness.”

Jessica further said that she hasn’t wasted her energy on trolls. She also praised the Indian people for supporting them and shared her experience in India. She added:

“Sometimes (it gets difficult). Travis doesn’t host parties, weddings, or birthdays, so he often attends alone. I guess the ups and downs of cricket. (But) Travis is my most supportive partner. Although he travels most of the year, he always manages to make sure his family is supported.”

“I know that 99.99 percent of people are very supportive and kind. I haven’t wasted energy on trolls. India is an impressive country. The culture and people are so beautiful. I found people incredibly welcoming to babies. I loved how people received Milla. I took a four-hour tour of Kolkata and loved how different life is there compared to Australia. It’s busy and colorful. There was so much music in the streets; I loved that. Mumbai was amazing too. The food was incredible.”

Travis Head played a magnificent innings in the final. He scored 137 runs under pressure and he single-handedly won the game for his team.
