The former Batter Virender of India, Sehwag, praised Kl Rahul de Delhi Capitals (DC) for changing his batting approach in the Premier League (IPL) in progress in India 2025. The 46 -year -old man declared that he was always a good player. He opposed that winning the game is more important than playing with a high attack rate. Rahul is producing games winning for his team in this edition, which used to leave without finishing previously.
“Kl Rahul was never a bad player. He used to be confused by saying that the strike rate in IPL doesn’t matter. I know that the attack rate is not important in each game, but winning the game is. He used to leave his franchises in the middle without taking them to the victories. He was not completing his work in the past. But now he is winning the games,” said Sehwag (through Crithoday).
Rahul was awarded the consecutive players of the game after his heroic against Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He played two winning blows of the game of 77 (51) and 93* (53) in Chepauk and Chinnaswamy, respectively.

The former Punjab Kings player (then Kings Xi Punjab), Sehwag, was the mentor of the 2016 to 2018 team. They acquired the Bangalore Boy at the 2018 players auction for INR 11 million rupees. The Cricket Senior player revealed that he advised Rahul to play freely in the average order. He also predicted Rahul to be a “superstar” at that time.
“When I was with Punjab Kings during my association with the franchise, I told him to be expressed in the middle. We gave it total freedom without exercising any pressure. I knew it would become a superstar,” he added.
Rahul, the Cap Orange winner of IPL 2020, has won the majority of the Match Player Awards (15) since 2018. It also has the best average of 46.36 among the 10 highest runners in the history of IPL.
With his last victory over RCB, DC has won its four games so far in IPL 2025. The team led by Axar Patel will face the Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 13.
