Indian national cricket team’s 23-year-old Ravi Bishnoi has reacted to becoming the number one bowler in the ICC men’s T20I rankings, saying he never dreamed of achieving the feat.
Bishnoi, who made his international debut early last year, has delivered sensational performances for India in T20I cricket. Recently, Ravi Bishnoi bagged 9 wickets at an average of 18.22 and economy of 8.20 in the five-match T20I series against Australia.
He was also awarded the ‘Player of the Series’ award for his impressive performances. In total, he has picked 34 wickets in 21 T20I matches since his debut against the West Indies in February 2022.
Speaking in a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) under his official name . feeling of the world for him. He said:
“It’s a feeling out of this world. I never dreamed of becoming the number one bowler. Now that I’m there, I feel good and I hope to continue performing for the team and help the team win.”

Ravi Bishnoi said his journey in international cricket was full of ups and downs but he enjoyed it. He said:
“I debuted on February 15 and the journey has had its ups and downs, but the last 1-1.5 years have been good since I was able to play some good matches, also in the Asian Games and the Asian Cup.”
Ravi Bishnoi further said that his current achievements are a result of his hard work over the last five years. He said:
“I have had opportunities and when I have them I hope to play well. This is another example of the efforts of the last five years that are bearing fruit. Now, after that, it’s been going well so far and I’m enjoying it.”

Ravi Bishnoi will next be seen in action when India will face South Africa in a three-match T20I series. The T20I matches will be played on December 10, 12 and 14 in Durban, Gqeberha and Johannesburg.
