Sometimes Hardik Pandya doesn’t bowl, sometimes Washington Sunday doesn’t bowl – Suryakumar Yadav

At the post-match presentation ceremony, Suryakumar Yadav said that he wanted India to lose early wickets because he wanted the middle-order batsmen to face the difficult situation.

Suryakumar Yadav said he was impressed with the way the middle-order batsmen played and praised the duo of Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh.

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav further revealed that he tried as many as 7 bowling options and did not give the ball to Hardik Pandya because he wanted to see what others could offer.

“I wanted that situation, I wanted my batsmen (5,6,7) in that situation. Happy for both of them (Rinku and Nitish). They batted exactly the way I wanted. You have to go out and express. Just the shirt changes, the rest remains the same,” Suryakumar Yadav said.

“I wanted to see what different bowlers can do in different situations. Can you give me the tough overs? Sometimes Hardik doesn’t bowl, sometimes Washington Sunday doesn’t bowl. I wanted to see what the other guys had in store , really happy with him. It was his (Nitish) day, I thought I would let him enjoy it and make it big,” Suryakumar Yadav added.
