ICC Champions Trophy 2025

In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the International Cricket Council was crushed between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The two countries have been involved in a dispute for some time, but so far there has been no solution.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 schedule, along with the venue and format, are yet to be announced, although the tournament is just around the corner. However, amidst all the uncertainty, the world cricket body sent the trophy to Pakistan for an official trophy tour.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 silverware arrived in Islamabad on Thursday

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 cutlery arrived in Islamabad on Thursday (November 14) and will be taken across the country over the next week. As per Cricbuzz reports, it is known that the trophy tour will take place from November 16 to 24.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will have stops in Murree, Hunza, Muzaffarabad and Skardu. In addition, the title will also go to the second highest mountain in the world after Everest, K2. Climbing the mountain involves a lot of risk and has a high mortality rate. But it is considered safer to climb from the Pakistan side.

The trophy will not be taken to Lahore, Karachi and Pindi

The trophy will not be taken to Lahore, Karachi and Pindi, where the tournament will be held. This is due to smog and apart from this, it is known that the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan government are trying to promote tourism in the country and are taking it to new places.

On the tournament front, there has not been any clarity related to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) denied traveling to Pakistan after failing to obtain clearance from the government. On the other hand, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also has an aggressive stance and is keen to host the entire tournament in its country.

Nawaz Sharif should approach Modi directly to open new chapter in relations: former PCB chairman

There have also been talks related to the hybrid model, but Pakistan is not considering it. Cricbuzz reports claimed that the International Cricket Council (ICC) will announce the tournament schedule and the ball is in the court of the ICC, which is trying to engage with stakeholders.

The former Pakistan Cricket Board president also spoke about the situation of ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should directly approach Mr Modi. In statements to the local news, he explained:

“Mr Nawaz Sharif should directly approach Mr Modi to open a new chapter in relations and at the same time initiate side talks with India to break the deadlock.”

The PCB confirmed on Sunday that it received an email from the ICC about India’s decision. They have asked the world cricket body about the reasons behind the BCCI call and have asked the Indian body about the same.
