India refused to visit Pakistan for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
The Indian government has denied permission to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to send Team India to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
This information has been officially conveyed to the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). There have been demands for the main tournament to be played in a hybrid model, but the PCB is against it.
Pakistan wants to host all home matches, including India’s matches. However, with India’s refusal to visit Pakistan, a huge controversy has ensued, leading to a delay in announcing the schedule.
The tournament dates were previously revealed and will be played from February 19 to March 9, but the full competition schedule and venues have yet to be announced.
A few days ago, an event was supposedly scheduled to announce the matches, but at the last minute it was canceled. There were also reports that Pakistan would withdraw from the competition if forced to adopt a hybrid model.

A PCB source spoke about the meeting reports and said the board has no such information on the matter.

Furthermore, the source has revealed that the International Cricket Council is yet to respond to the email sent by the Pakistan Cricket Board, asking the reasons for India’s refusal to visit Pakistan.

“The PCB has also made it clear that even if the hybrid model is adopted, it will not play its group match against India in Dubai,” the source said.
