The National Cricket team in South Africa has suffered a great blow ahead of the Tri-Nation Odi series against Pakistan and New Zealand and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. On Thursday, February 6, Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed that Coetzee experienced tension in his groin while throwing himself at the Center for Excellence in Pretoria during a training session on Wednesday (February 5).

However, South African Bowling player had completed his 10 overs. Well, after a medical evaluation, the CSA and the team management have discovered that playing in the parties of 50 superiors would increase the risk of co -election of a serious injury, discarding it from the next tasks.
The CSA said in an official press release: “Gerald Coetzee experienced oppression in his groin while completing his 10 overs in training at the Center for Excellence in Pretoria. After an additional evaluation by the Proteas medical team, it was determined that the symptoms raised a higher risk of significant injuries to a higher bowling load required for the next 50 more games. ”

In particular, Cricket’s Key Cricket players from South Africa, such as Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs and Rassie Van Der Dussen, will not be available for the Ody Tri-Nation series with New Zealand and Pakistan.
