England He will reportedly not play any match for the United States of America in next year’s T20 World Cup. The next edition of the T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by the Caribbeans and the United States in June 2024.

While the Caribbean will host the tournament for the second time, the United States will host the tournament for the first time. The 2010 T20 World Cup was also held in the Caribbean and England had won that edition. A total of 20 teams will participate in the event.

Countries like Canada, Uganda and the United States will play the T20 World Cup for the first time. The 20 teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each. The two best teams in each group will advance to the Super 8 round. At this stage, the qualified teams will be divided into two groups of four and the two best teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

England will not play any games in the United States:

According to the English newspaper Telegraph, England will not play any matches in the United States. While the country will host the mega clash between India and Pakistan, it will not host defending champions England. Jos Buttler-les’ team’s four group stage matches are likely to be played in Antigua, Barbados and Saint Lucia.

The report further states that one of the four groups is likely to be played exclusively in the US, two will be played only in the Caribbean, and another will be split between the two. The ICC is yet to announce the group and schedule of the event.

Starting with the Super 8 phase, most or even all matches will be played in the West Indies. The United States is likely to host 16 of the 55 games. Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida and Nassau County in New York have already been confirmed as the three US venues for the tournament.
