In what has been the latest development according to PTI reports, it is known that one of the conclusions of the BCCI SGM was that the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule is likely to be announced on the sidelines of the Cricket World Cup Final. ICC World Trials Championship. between India and Australia from June 7 to 11.

The Cricket World Cup is scheduled to take place in India during the month of October and November. It is also likely that the BCCI will finalize the World Cup venues after the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The big event will take place in India after 2011 and it will be the icing on the cake if the hosts win it.

A total of 47 games will be played and 10 teams will fight each other for the crown, which is currently with England. 8 teams in India, Australia, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Pakistan, England, Bangladesh and South Africa have directly qualified for the tournament and will be joined by the two teams from the Qualifiers.

The other takeaway from BCCI’s SGM was that Grant Thornton will work with the governing body to upgrade 15 stadiums for the 2023 ICC World Cup. Upgrading the grounds at the famous Wankhede and Chepauk Stadium is already underway.

ICC World Cup 2023: World Cup qualifiers will take place from June 18

The 2023 ICC World Cup Qualifiers will begin on June 18 and the final will take place on July 9. The US will open its campaign against the West Indies on June 18. A total of 10 teams will participate in the competition with the top two teams advancing to India for the main event.
