Kohli retired as the most successful test captain in India with 40 victories of the 68 games. Its percentage of victories is only exceeded by the legendary skippers Graeme Smith, Ricky Ponting and Steve Waugh.
“It was his aura, arrogance and passion. We know the fans of the Indian Cricket, and the game means a lot for them. They want their captain to show them what it means to the team, and nobody embodied that passion for the Cricket in India more than Kohli. He was an incredible player,” said Hussain in Sky Sport Podcast.

“For the legends of the game, they cannot move away from the scrutiny of the media. They are in that bowl of golden fish all the time. He took India to number 1 in the world and stayed there for about 42 months. He completely changed the way they play the Crick,” Hussain added.
The era of Kohli’s captaincy became the cornerstone of the Indian rhythm revolution. Contrary to the tradition of using the spinners as their main weapon, the Kohli chose teams that were loaded with pacemakers who would play tirelessly attacking the Cricket.
Kohli virat the last winner
As a result, India won in England, South Africa and for the first time in Australia. Hussain highlighted the intensity with which Kohli gathered his troops and won multiple series.
“He is the final winner, he sees the final goal as a victory, and is desperate for that. Everything for Kohli is about winning. Why do you think it is so good in persecutions?
The former right -handed felt that the drainage effect of giving everything was the reason behind Kohli’s retirement decision.
“That may have been part of his retirement decision, he does not want to be a normal Crick player, just doing a little here and there. He made India in force today,” he added.
