Young Indian batsman Shubman Gill failed to score big goals for the second time in two days. Cape Town. In the second innings, riding Aiden Markram’s sixth Test ton, South Africa scored 176, leaving India 79 runs to win. The Men in Blue chased down the target in 12 overs and Mohammed Siraj won the men’s series. Jasprit Bumrah and Deal Elgar for their performances won the Player of the Series awards.

Bowlers from both teams reaped their rewards on bowling-friendly ground in Cape Town. Siraj took six wickets in the first innings, while Bumrah took another six in the second innings. Kagiso Rabada was the best South African bowler in the test match and took four wickets in the test match. Lungi Ngidi and Nandre Burger also took three each during India’s first innings.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma was relieved after leveling the series against South Africa. This is the first time since the 2010-11 series that India has not lost a Test series in South Africa. The last time, in 2021-22, they lost 2-1.
