India will lose its host right for the next edition of the 2025 Cup Asia after the Cricket Asian Council (ACC) announced the attempt window for the tournament.
It is understood that the decision comes from the bilateral political relations between India and Pakistan, which also affected the Champions Trophy on 2025. The Indian team did not travel to Pakistan for the CPI event and, on the other hand, is playing its games in Dubai.
Therefore, to avoid this conflict, the ACC made a key decision that the tournament will take place in a neutral country when it is the turn of the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) or the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB) to organize it. Since India received the rights as a nation host by 2025, now an attentive will be removed from a new place. However, BCCI will continue to be the designated host of the tournament.
It is believed that ACC officials had been prescribed to Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates as possible locations for the tournament.
