India will host the New Zealand women’s team immediately after the conclusion of the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Both the teams will face each other in a three-match ODI series.
All three matches of the series are scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad. The first match is scheduled for October 24, while the second and third matches will be played on October 27 and 29 respectively. The series is part of the ongoing ICC Women’s ODI Championship 2022-25.

Soon after the conclusion of the WBBL, the Indian team will also take on Australia in a three-match ODI series from December 5-11.
Meanwhile, India has automatically qualified for the 2025 ODI World Cup as hosts. On the other hand, New Zealand is ranked sixth in the 10-team ICC Women’s ODI Championship standings. They have only won eight of the 18 ODIs so far and will be desperate to do well in the upcoming series.
Apart from India, the top five teams from the ICC Women’s ODI Championship will qualify for the tournament. The four remaining teams must play the qualifiers for a place in the World Cup.
India and New Zealand recently faced each other in the T20 World Cup. New Zealand won the match with ease and started their campaign in excellent fashion. They thrashed the Women in Blue by 58 runs.
